28.04.2017 – JD Edwards Best of Collaborate 2017 Las Vegas, USA

It was time again, the worldwide JD Edwards community gathered from 2-6 April 2017 in Las Vegas, USA. They could learn from each other, share tips and success stories, and learn what’s new for JD Edwards. One of the highlights of the Collaborate Week was of course Lyle Ekdahl’s keynote.
Lyle Ekdahl’s keynote at Collaborate doesn’t want to miss any of the JD Edwards community and as always Lyle hasn’t disappointed! Lyle and his team provided insights into ERP and IT and of course talked about the strategic guidelines and roadmaps for the coming months and years.
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.2 Continuous Innovation
    A few facts:
    • 2,400 downloads of E1 9.2 since its release 18 months ago: this is the most successful version ever!
    • Nevertheless, today only 25% are on the installation basis JDE 9. 2.
    • Most customers plan to upgrade in the next 12-24 months. The expectation is that more than 60% of the installation base will be on JDE 9. 2 in two years.
    • One of the reasons for the speed is the continuous innovation the development team brings to Denver: since November 2015, more than 160 features have been added in every aspect of the solution. These are functional, technical as well as the user interface.
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne – New announcement, further development until at least 2028 and support until at least 2036 guaranteed!
The new support strategy was probably the most important announcement of this keynote: EnterpriseOne 9.2 support for further development will be extended until at least 2028, with an annual review for extensions!
This announcement is in line with Oracle’s commitment to meeting and exceeding customer expectations for greater agility and simplification:
    • Continuation of innovation
    • New industrial expansion and technology innovation
    • Continuous delivery
    • Continuous simplification tools
    JD Edwards and Digital Transformation
„Digitisation” is the way to maintain and strengthen the competitiveness and agility of JDE’s customers, and it is more than ever at the heart of Denver’s development strategy.
Digital transformation is a reality, and companies must use digital technologies to develop and support new business models and seize the opportunities of our rapidly changing economy. Automation, horizontal and vertical integration, digitization of processes and operations, collaboration, data collection and real-time analysis are key objectives for our customers and their businesses.
